Senior Architect - Automation

About the role

As a Senior Architect – Integration & Automation you will be the senior technical authority for IBM Integration, API Management, Messaging and Automation solutions within GBM’s IBM Business Unit, influencing enterprise integration strategies across key UAE accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise integration and automation architecture engagements and define API‑first, microservices and event‑driven modernization strategies.
• Shape complex integration and automation deals from technical discovery to closure, producing solution blueprints, high‑level and low‑level designs and sizing documentation.
• Position IBM Integration Suite, webMethods Hybrid Integration, API Connect, MQ, Event Streams and Business Automation solutions.
• Collaborate with IBM and Red Hat technical teams for co‑sell and joint go‑to‑market initiatives.
• Deliver technical enablement sessions, build reusable reference architectures and support competitive positioning against MuleSoft, Oracle, SAP and Microsoft platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of enterprise IT experience, including 7+ years in integration, middleware or automation architecture roles.
• Proven experience leading complex enterprise technical sales cycles and engaging with C‑level executives.
• Strong commercial acumen and disciplined opportunity management.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in enterprise integration patterns (API‑led, ESB, microservices, event‑driven).
• Hands‑on experience with IBM Integration Suite, webMethods, API Connect, MQ and Event Streams.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and containerized middleware deployments.
• Knowledge of Business Automation Workflow and RPA.
• IBM certifications in Integration, Automation or Hybrid Cloud (preferred).
