Senior Associate - Collections

About the role

The Senior Associate – Collections will manage outstanding receivables for a leading property development and asset management organisation in the UAE. The role involves close interaction with customers and internal teams to ensure timely payment recovery while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts to identify due and overdue payments.
• Follow up with customers via calls, emails and meetings to secure timely collections.
• Prepare and issue payment reminders, statements of account and default notices.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communications.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Customer Service and Legal on delayed payments and defaults.
• Support discussions on payment plans and settlement arrangements within policy limits.
• Escalate unresolved overdue accounts to the Collections Manager.
• Prepare regular collection, ageing and outstanding balance reports.
• Assist in reducing aged receivables through consistent monitoring and engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 7‑10 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, credit control or debt recovery.
• Mandatory experience within real estate, property development, construction or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of collection processes, receivables management and payment recovery practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Knowledge of contractual payment terms and collection procedures.
• Must be based in the UAE.
