Senior Attorney - Building Automation Legal Advisor

About the role

Honeywell Building Automation is looking for a Senior Attorney to act as legal advisor to the Middle East, Turkey and Africa Building Automation business. The role provides legal support to the BA Products, Services and Project business unit, ensures compliance with laws and regulations and mitigates legal risks. It reports directly to the General Counsel, Building Automation for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa region, and is based in Dubai on a hybrid schedule aligned with the direct manager.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.
• Review, draft and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with business units and cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Support the management of external legal counsel and legal projects.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience practicing law, with a strong background in corporate and commercial legal matters.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken Arabic.
• Licensed to practice as an advocate, attorney or solicitor in at least one jurisdiction.
• Experience in a corporate legal department or law firm setting.
• LLB or JD degree from an accredited law school is valued.

• In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations relevant to the business.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing legal risks.
• Familiarity with managing external legal counsel.
