Senior Auditor – Investment Banking, Wholesale Banking & Credit

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to lead and participate in audits covering Investment Banking, Wholesale Banking (including Global Transaction Banking and Corporate Finance) and Credit functions across the FAB Group. The role provides assurance to senior management by identifying weaknesses, reporting findings and driving corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits of IB, WB and credit risk activities in the UAE and international network, ensuring alignment with the Annual Audit Plan.
• Act as the primary contact with business units, influencing change through advice and reporting significant findings.
• Provide guidance, on‑the‑job training and knowledge sharing to junior audit staff.
• Monitor financial performance of audited areas against budgets and report variances.
• Apply GIA policies, guidance notes and practice standards; contribute to the development of audit practices.
• Maintain and update the audit universe for IB, WB and credit portfolios, coordinating coverage with other audit teams.
• Assist senior audit leadership with special investigations and ad‑hoc reviews.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of corporate banking products, credit risk management and relevant regulatory environments in the UAE and other jurisdictions.
• Experience in transaction banking and credit risk management is an advantage.
• Proven ability to identify audit issues, prepare reports and agree on action plans with management.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior stakeholders and influence outcomes.
• Capability to train and mentor junior colleagues.
