Senior Back End Developer – Java & Microservices

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to help build and own core microservices across our platform. This hands‑on role focuses on services that support call treatment orchestration, brand data, analytics, and billing.

Key responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and own core microservices across the First Orion platform.
• Develop services supporting call treatment orchestration, brand data, analytics, and billing.
• Design and implement solutions using hexagonal and event‑driven architecture patterns.
• Build scalable, reliable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Work with relational databases, caching technologies, and event‑streaming platforms.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and improve service reliability and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot issues and support services throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend or software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Java 21.
• Experience building services with Spring Boot.
• Experience with Gradle using Kotlin DSL.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with Redis and Kafka.
• Understanding of microservice and event‑driven architecture.
• Experience designing, building, testing, and supporting production services.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, distributed environment.
