Senior Business Development Executive - MENA

About the role

Deriv processes more than $700B in monthly trading volume, with a large share coming through partners such as Introducing Brokers, affiliates, fintech partners and payment providers. The Growth Partnerships function owns the partner pipeline, and this role is a senior position in that function based in Dubai. It involves recruiting and growing high-value partners, owning their full lifecycle and negotiating deal terms.

Key responsibilities

• Partner acquisition and recruitment: recruit and grow high-value IBs, affiliates, fintech partners, payment providers and strategic alliances across the assigned MENA markets, including the harder-to-close accounts junior executives tend to hand off.
• Portfolio activation and performance: own the full lifecycle of a larger, more complex portfolio, from onboarding through to revenue performance, and proactively fix underperforming accounts.
• Commercial deal structuring: negotiate commission structures, volume targets and support agreements with more latitude on terms, and defend the unit economics of each deal to leadership.
• AI-enabled operations: work inside AI-enabled onboarding and lifecycle systems, and flag workflow gaps to product and engineering with enough specificity to act on them.
• Mentorship: help onboard and troubleshoot newer Business Development Executives, sharing what you've learned about reading partners and structuring deals.
• Industry representation: represent Deriv at conferences and partner events such as iFX Expo, Finance Magnates, Forex Expo Dubai and regional growth events.

Required profile

• A couple of years of business development, partnerships or sales experience in online trading, FX/CFD, fintech or a comparable performance-driven digital ecosystem, with closed deals.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; French, Spanish or Portuguese is an advantage.
• Relevant degree in business, economics, finance or equivalent, and close to five years of relevant experience.
