Senior Business Development Specialist

About the role

EDGE Commercial, part of the EDGE Group, is seeking a Senior Business Development Specialist to drive market expansion and customer engagement for its advanced technology and defence portfolio in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new market and business development opportunities across defence and advanced technology sectors.
• Conduct in‑depth market, customer and competitor research to inform strategy.
• Prepare customer presentations, business cases and market assessments.
• Support customer engagements, events and strategic partnerships.
• Coordinate with technical and commercial teams to progress opportunities and maintain CRM data and pipeline reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Defence or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, commercial or strategy roles, preferably in the defence or advanced technology sector.
• Knowledge of EDGE’s key capability clusters such as Platforms & Systems, Missiles & Weapons, Secure Intelligence Systems, Advanced Sensing, Homeland Security or Technology.

Required skills

• Familiarity with integrated C5ISR systems and products.
• Understanding of multi‑intelligence fusion, sensing and intelligence technologies (EW, Radar, EO/IR, SAR, AIS, acoustics, GEOINT, OSINT).
• Experience with artificial intelligence (AI), autonomy, platforms, missiles, weapons and multi‑domain tactical systems.
