Senior Buyer – Supply Chain Procurement

About the role

The Senior Buyer is a key member of CB&I Storage Solutions' supply chain team, responsible for sourcing commodities and services, evaluating bids, awarding contracts, and managing purchase orders. This position offers a pathway to broader supply‑chain management responsibilities, including source inspection, expediting, and logistics oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare contract documents, qualify new bidders, and issue requests for quotations.
• Purchase materials and services at or below estimates while meeting schedule requirements.
• Perform bid evaluations, negotiate large‑value purchases, and issue purchase orders for complex packages.
• Resolve vendor claims or disputes and support budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor.
• Represent the department in cross‑functional meetings and provide leadership guidance to junior staff.
• Identify and implement improvements to procurement tools, systems, and software.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in procurement or supply‑chain functions.
• Strong negotiation and vendor‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work with regional and international suppliers.
• Proactive attitude toward health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
