Senior Chemical Plant Operator – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Sichem, a specialist in oilfield chemicals manufacturing, is looking for a Senior Chemical Plant Operator to join its Abu Dhabi facility. You will be responsible for running key process equipment safely and efficiently, supporting production targets and ensuring product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate reactors, mixers, pumps, compressors, columns and tank farms according to SOPs and batch instructions.
• Charge raw materials, monitor process parameters and ensure safe, on‑time batch completion.
• Perform routine inspections, record process data, production results and equipment status.
• Collect product samples and assist quality‑control activities to verify specifications.
• Identify and report process deviations, equipment malfunctions and safety concerns promptly.
• Support maintenance, troubleshooting, start‑up, shutdown and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and workplace safety.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in chemical process industries, preferably in a plant or field operations role.
• Basic communication skills in English (written and verbal) and solid arithmetic ability.
• Good physical strength and health to handle demanding production tasks.
