Senior Commissioning Engineer – Process & Utility (Offshore, WHT, Subsea)

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead process and utility commissioning activities on offshore oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the safe pre‑commissioning, start‑up and hand‑over of Wellhead Towers, offshore platforms, subsea pipelines and brownfield modifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute Process & Utility Commissioning Execution Plans, startup procedures and detailed schedules.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with engineering, construction and operations teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead commissioning of Wellhead Tower systems, offshore platform utilities, and subsea pipeline interfaces, including FAT and SAT support.
• Prepare commissioning dossiers, hand‑over documentation and manage SIMOPS‑related risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years on offshore projects.
• Proven track record in commissioning and start‑up of offshore platforms, Wellhead Towers, jackets, topsides and brownfield facilities.
• Previous experience with ADNOC offshore projects or PMC/EPC environments is advantageous.
