Senior Commissioning Manager - ADNOC Offshore

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team to support a high-profile offshore development project in Abu Dhabi. The Senior Commissioning Manager will be assigned to the ADNOC Offshore PMC project and will initially be based at the client's or contractor's office in Abu Dhabi, possibly moving to a rotational assignment at the project site depending on project needs. The role covers planning, coordinating and executing commissioning, start-up, testing and handover activities so that all systems and subsystems are commissioned safely, efficiently and in line with ADNOC standards, project specifications and industry best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop commissioning strategies, procedures, schedules and execution plans, leading activities from mechanical completion through pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and handover.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams (electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, process, telecom, control systems) and coordinate with engineering, construction, QA/QC, HSE, operations, vendors and the client.
• Manage subcontractors and commissioning service providers, and review and approve procedures, test packs, method statements and operational readiness plans.
• Verify punch list completion, oversee functional testing, loop checking, SATs, integrated system testing and performance testing.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC offshore HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems and HAZOP, HAZID, SIMOPS and safety reviews.
• Serve as the main contact for commissioning with ADNOC Offshore, lead commissioning meetings, support final acceptance and handover, and maintain completion dossiers, turnover packages, commissioning records and as-built documentation.
• Monitor progress against schedule and budget, and prepare weekly and monthly commissioning reports, KPIs and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical or Process Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 15 years of experience in EPC, offshore oil and gas, refining, petrochemical or energy projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior commissioning leadership role.
• Proven experience on major ADNOC, offshore platform, topsides, brownfield or greenfield projects, and with international EPC contractors and multinational teams.
• Professional certifications in commissioning, project management or related fields are advantageous.
