Senior Compliance Analyst

About the role

Deriv is hiring a Senior Compliance Analyst in Dubai to safeguard its business and clients by driving a strong culture of compliance. The role uses AI-enhanced tools to analyse flagged accounts and transactions, run customer due diligence and support regulatory reporting, so that compliance checks can keep pace with the volume of trades.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse flagged client accounts and transaction activity to identify compliance concerns
• Carry out customer due diligence and decide whether clients meet internal policy and regulatory requirements
• Review high-value deposits and withdrawals using AI-powered procedures
• Screen clients against PEP lists, global sanctions databases and adverse media, and decide when a hit is noise versus signal
• Prepare compliance reports and support regulatory filings where required
• Work with operational and product teams to clarify compliance requirements and improve weak processes
• Provide clear, defensible answers on complex compliance questions

Required profile

• University degree in finance, economics, law, risk management, criminology, business studies, data science, management or a related field
• 5+ years of compliance experience in financial services, fintech, investment services or another regulated environment
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, with hands-on experience in customer due diligence, transaction reviews and sanctions screening
• Clear English, meticulous attention to detail and the judgment to make sound calls on limited information
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to push back on teams whose plans do not meet compliance standards

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills for spotting anomalies in transaction data
• Comfortable with Excel and complex datasets
