Senior Conflicts Manager – Asia & Middle East

About the role

Walkers is seeking a Senior Conflicts Manager to join its OGC team, based in Dubai, Hong Kong or Singapore. The role focuses on analysing, advising on and resolving legal and commercial conflicts of interest, information barriers and share‑dealing requests across the firm’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day activities of conflicts advisors across relevant time zones and lead recruitment of additional advisors.
• Act as escalation point for legal and commercial conflicts, ensuring compliance with regulations, professional rules and Walkers’ policies.
• Develop and deliver a phased programme to enhance conflicts service delivery and centralise conflict checking within two years.
• Lead internal training on conflicts of interest, client confidentiality, share dealing and insider lists.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance or a related field.
• Experience in compliance or in‑house legal roles within an international law firm or professional services environment.
• Proven people‑management experience, including supervising large teams and driving recruitment and development initiatives.
• Strong analytical, judgment and communication skills with a focus on service excellence.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of legal conflicts of interest, commercial conflicts and client confidentiality regulations.
• Familiarity with Market Abuse Regulations and information‑barrier requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with Intapp Intake for client onboarding and conflict checks.
