Senior Construction/Installation Engineer – Subsea Pipelines & Cables

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Construction/Installation Engineer to support subsea pipeline, flowline, cable and related installation activities on an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role provides engineering expertise throughout planning, execution and completion of subsea installation campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Provide construction and installation engineering support for subsea pipelines, flowlines, power, control and communication cables.
• Develop and review installation methodologies, procedures, work packs and engineering drawings.
• Coordinate with subsea engineering, marine operations, installation vessels, ROV/survey teams, contractors, fabrication yards, QA/QC, HSE and client representatives.
• Support offshore lay operations (S‑lay, J‑lay, reel‑lay), tension monitoring, stinger configuration and vessel parameters.
• Monitor installation parameters to ensure compliance with approved limits and support testing, pre‑commissioning and completion activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (relevant discipline) from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in offshore projects.
• Proven experience in subsea pipeline, flowline, cable or umbilical construction and installation.
• Experience with offshore brownfield tie‑ins and modifications is strongly preferred.
• Background in PMC/EPC environments; ADNOC offshore experience is an advantage.
