Senior Corporate Legal Counsel

About the role

Binance is looking for a Senior Corporate Legal Counsel to join its global Corporate Legal Affairs team. The role delivers complex strategic projects alongside corporate transactions, governance, reorganisations, intra-group arrangements, board secretarial and entity management. It suits someone comfortable in a fast-paced in-house environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the development and implementation of group legal strategy and contribute to the organisation's general business strategy.
• Provide proactive, business-focused advice and lead external communication on legal matters, including negotiation with external parties.
• Lead, advise and support transactional, reorganisation and corporate governance initiatives, including M&A, majority and minority investments, joint ventures and global restructurings.
• Draft and review legal documents, assess risks holistically and suggest ways to enhance business value while mitigating downside risk.
• Partner with cross-functional and regional teams, train colleagues and promote risk awareness across the company.
• Keep up to date with current laws, identify legal framework developments and ensure consistent approaches across internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified to practice law in a leading jurisdiction with significant corporate legal experience.
• Typically 8+ years after qualification, usually at a top law firm and/or in-house at a well-established corporate or high-growth company.
• Ideally trained in a reputable law firm's corporate practice, with a focus on corporate transactions and general corporate governance.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects across multiple jurisdictions.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced in-house setting, with strong problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills.
