Senior Data Scientist – Demand Forecasting & Pricing

About the role

The Senior Data Scientist will lead the creation of advanced machine‑learning models that improve demand forecasting and pricing strategies, directly influencing profitability and customer satisfaction across Al Futtaim Group’s corporate services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy demand‑forecasting models using ARIMA, XGBoost, LSTM and traditional statistical techniques.
• Leverage Generative AI to simulate future demand scenarios and boost forecast accuracy.
• Build dynamic pricing algorithms that consider demand predictions, inventory levels and competitor data.
• Analyze customer behavior with clustering and predict Customer Lifetime Value to enable personalized pricing.
• Monitor model performance (MAE, RMSE, Precision/Recall) and continuously fine‑tune models.
• Implement MLOps practices: version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and model monitoring.
• Collaborate with marketing, product and sales teams to align models with business goals.
• Deploy and scale solutions on Azure (and GCP) using cloud‑native tools.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• 10+ years of data‑science experience, with at least 5 years focused on demand forecasting, price optimization and customer analytics.
• Proven hands‑on experience with ARIMA, XGBoost, LSTM and operations‑research models.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Databricks and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
