Senior Design Manager

About the role

The Senior Design Manager at Resicom+ within Al-Futtaim Group oversees the design and delivery of high-quality architectural projects. The role involves managing timelines and budgets, collaborating with diverse teams and developing design strategies so that projects are both aesthetically pleasing and technically sound.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-end quality projects focused on the best user experience, on time or earlier, within budget and in line with company processes and strategic goals.
• Support the Director of Architecture in developing and implementing design strategies.
• Manage the end-to-end design process independently, from brief preparation to procurement, including technical reviews and consultant appointments.
• Deliver projects from concept through to tender and construction documentation, including obtaining building permits.
• Solve design issues creatively, identify and prioritize tasks for new requests, and create standard processes and templates for complex tasks.
• Anticipate and manage risks, clarify uncertainties between stakeholders and keep effective communication with all project stakeholders, including during site work and procurement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in architecture.
• At least 12 years of experience in design and management roles, preferably with leading local developers.
• Extensive experience managing residential and commercial office projects.
• Familiarity with UAE local requirements and regulations.

• Project management and delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex design challenges.
• Communication and presentation skills to lead consultants and stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of architectural practices, with coordination across architectural, interior, landscape, structural, MEP and infrastructure disciplines.
