Senior Digital Content and Communications Officer (Arabic Media Hub)

About the role

The British Embassy Dubai is recruiting a Senior Digital Content and Communications Officer (Executive Officer grade) for the Arabic Media Hub Team. The Hub supports the UK Arabic Spokesperson and communications teams across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), developing regional campaigns, producing digital communications products and providing communications support to posts. The postholder is the Hub's lead specialist for digital content delivery, campaign implementation and digital best practice, working within strategic direction set by senior management. The role is on a fixed-term contract of three years.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce original digital content (video, graphics, photography, short-form) in Arabic and English, manage production workflows and maintain digital asset libraries and templates.
• Deliver digital campaigns and advise colleagues on digital techniques, platforms and content formats, and support regional campaigns with content packages and specialist advice.
• Use audience insight and evaluation to monitor social media performance, produce analysis and evaluation reports, and refine content approaches and campaign delivery.
• Provide specialist advice on digital communications, monitor the quality of content produced by posts, and share guidance, examples and resources.
• Deliver training, workshops and one-to-one support, develop learning materials and build the Hub's evidence base.
• Maintain digital production systems, content libraries and studio facilities, manage production budgets, support induction and emergency planning, and take on other ad hoc duties.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in digital content and campaigns, creativity and political awareness.
• Sound professional judgement and the ability to work closely with the UK Arabic Spokesperson, colleagues in London and teams across the region.
