Senior Director - Industry 4.0

About the role

The Senior Director – Industry 4.0 will lead Emirates Global Aluminium’s transformation into a regional lighthouse for Industry 4.0. The role is responsible for defining the roadmap, delivering cost‑saving digital initiatives and building a data‑driven culture.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an overview of the Industry 4.0 portfolio, tracking use‑case maturity across the organization.
• Develop and recommend strategic, long‑range goals based on business analysis and emerging data opportunities.
• Define and execute the data lifecycle strategy, covering acquisition, governance, analytics, insights and reporting.
• Identify revenue‑generation or cost‑reduction opportunities through data‑driven solutions.
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to embed data standards and drive adoption of analytics platforms.
• Oversee the delivery of digital transformation projects, coordinating lead translators, data scientists and engineers.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams, establish KPIs for revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction, and foster a digital talent culture.
• Support quarterly prioritisation sessions, review business cases and communicate realised value to leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience in the metal and mining industry, with a strong track record of managing complex, high‑visibility projects.
• Proven strategic leadership ability, balancing long‑term vision with short‑term results.
• Expertise in agile development techniques and product‑management mindset.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders across functional lines to drive change.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead multidisciplinary talent teams.
