Senior Discipline Engineer - HVAC

About the role

Archirodon is seeking a Senior Discipline Engineer – HVAC to lead design and detailed engineering for onshore and offshore EPC projects in the UAE. You will ensure HVAC systems meet project specifications, international standards, and client requirements while supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design and detailed engineering for complex oil & gas, offshore, marine, and industrial projects.
• Prepare and review heat‑load calculations, ventilation, pressurisation, and smoke‑control system designs.
• Size and select equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust fans and ductwork.
• Develop HVAC layouts, duct routing, schematics and material take‑offs.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, technical sub‑mittals and equipment data sheets.
• Support procurement through technical bid evaluation and vendor clarification.
• Provide design support during construction, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Resolve technical queries, RFIs and design‑related NCRs and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12–15 years of HVAC design experience within EPC projects, preferably in oil & gas, offshore or industrial sectors.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• HVAC system design, calculations and equipment selection.
• Heat‑load calculations, ventilation, pressurisation and smoke‑control expertise.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO and API standards.
• Proficiency with HAP software and AutoCAD drafting tools.
• Experience using 3D design tools such as PDMS and E3D.
• Review of vendor technical submissions and datasheets.
