Senior Electrical Engineer - Construction Supervision

About the role

KN International is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support its client in supervising, coordinating and ensuring quality and compliance of electrical works in residential villas and associated infrastructure projects. The role covers technical oversight, contractor monitoring, safety implementation and management of electrical installations from mobilization through handover and the defects liability period. It is based in Liwa, Al Dhafra region, Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the technical execution and supervision of electrical works, including power distribution, lighting, low voltage systems and utilities.
• Provide senior-level site supervision and technical guidance for electrical installations across villas, infrastructure and utility works.
• Review, interpret and ensure compliance with IFC drawings, specifications, authority standards and contractual obligations.
• Monitor contractor activities, assess work quality and report non-conformances (NCRs).
• Review and verify contractor submissions such as shop drawings, method statements, materials submittals, test reports and O&M manuals.
• Conduct site inspections, witness testing and commissioning, and coordinate with contractors, authorities, utilities and other stakeholders.
• Implement and enforce HSE requirements, safe working practices and environmental controls.
• Support project controls, including progress tracking, reporting and coordination meetings.
• Assist in handover, snagging, final inspections and monitoring during the defects liability period.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, site records and inspection logs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in the UAE preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant construction supervision experience in the UAE or a similar environment.
• Previous experience with Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) projects preferred.
• Proven track record in managing and delivering large-scale residential and infrastructure projects.
• Willingness to work on remote sites in Liwa, Al Dhafra region, Abu Dhabi.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and low voltage systems.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE local regulations, codes and industry standards.
• Proficiency in project management software and engineering tools.
• Leadership, team coordination and client-facing skills.
