About the role
Penspen is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design activities on onshore oil and gas projects in the UAE. The role focuses on FEED and detailed design phases, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop electrical design deliverables such as single‑line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules and equipment specifications.
- Review and specify major electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear and motor control centres.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate designs and participate in design reviews, vendor evaluations and site support.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 15‑20 years of relevant experience in oil & gas, with at least 5 years in the GCC region.
- 5+ years in senior positions on international onshore oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
Required skills
- Electrical design and FEED expertise.
- Knowledge of IEC, NEC and IEEE standards.
- Experience with terminals, onshore fields and maintenance hubs.
