Senior Electrical Engineer – Greenfield

About the role

KBR’s Abu Dhabi PMC team is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, engineering and commissioning of electrical systems for ADNOC offshore greenfield projects. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi, working from the client or contractor office, and will support the full project lifecycle from FEED to start‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute electrical engineering activities for offshore oil and gas greenfield developments.
• Develop and review design deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, load lists, equipment datasheets, power system studies, cable schedules, routing drawings, earthing and lightning protection designs, and hazardous area classifications.
• Design power generation, transmission and distribution systems for wellhead towers, platforms, processing facilities and substations.
• Perform and validate load flow, short‑circuit, motor starting, relay coordination, arc‑flash, harmonic and transient stability studies.
• Ensure all engineering work complies with ADNOC standards, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API and other relevant codes.
• Provide technical leadership throughout FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in offshore electrical design and engineering, preferably in the oil & gas sector.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards and international electrical codes.
• Hands‑on experience with power system studies and commissioning of offshore facilities.
