Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading construction and MEP contracting firm in the UAE, is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with 12‑15 years of experience. The role involves managing electrical power and ELV installations, coordinating site activities and ensuring successful testing, commissioning and handover of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee design review, planning, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical power distribution and ELV systems.
• Manage site execution, supervise subcontractors, monitor progress, material availability and quality compliance.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical and other MEP teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical works.
• Review and approve drawings, shop drawings, material submittals and method statements.
• Lead testing, commissioning, inspections and final handover activities, ensuring adherence to QA/QC procedures and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 12‑15 years of hands‑on experience in construction projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV power distribution, transformers, switchgear, panels, cabling, earthing and lightning protection.
• Practical experience with ELV systems such as fire alarm, CCTV, access control and structured cabling.
• Familiarity with UAE electrical regulations and construction safety standards.
