Senior Emergency Medicine Specialist – Government Hospital

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medicine Physician to join a leading government hospital in Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver rapid, high‑quality care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries and emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, stabilize and treat patients with a wide range of medical and surgical emergencies.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, ECGs and other diagnostics.
• Manage trauma, cardiac, respiratory and other critical conditions.
• Perform or assist with emergency procedures as required.
• Coordinate care with specialists, nurses, paramedics and other healthcare professionals.
• Determine appropriate patient disposition – discharge, admission, transfer or referral.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Participate in quality‑improvement, patient‑safety and clinical‑governance activities.
• Provide shift‑based coverage, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Valid medical licence/registration in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Emergency Medicine or equivalent.
• Relevant clinical experience in Emergency Medicine.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (ATLS preferred).
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
