Senior Engineer – Drainage (Rail Infrastructure)

About the role

Sener is seeking a Senior Engineer – Drainage to lead hydrological, hydraulic and storm‑water design for major railway projects in Saudi Arabia. The role is aimed at qualified KSA nationals with extensive experience in railway drainage.

Key responsibilities

• Lead drainage design from concept through tender stages, producing strategies, calculations, layouts and technical reports.
• Design surface‑water, storm‑water, track, station and depot drainage, including culverts, channels and attenuation systems.
• Coordinate drainage solutions with track, earthworks, structures, roads, utilities and other disciplines.
• Review models, drawings and specifications to ensure technical quality and compliance.
• Identify and resolve flood risks, constructability issues and multidisciplinary coordination challenges.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and participate in design workshops and value‑engineering activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional drainage design experience, including at least 5 years on rail projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water, Hydraulic Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience with major railway or transportation infrastructure drainage.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary interfaces between drainage, earthworks, track, structures and utilities.
