Senior Engineer – Embedded Software Integration & Test

About the role

The Senior Embedded Software Verification Engineer will lead and execute verification and DT&E activities for embedded software, managing requirements, test procedures, traceability, test execution, and reporting. The role also supports software qualification and provides technical guidance to junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage software verification plans, test procedures, test reports, and requirements traceability across product variants.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead embedded software testing and DT&E activities, including test benches, simulators, resources, and test teams.
• Drive investigation and resolution of test failures, deviations, and verification issues.
• Prepare and maintain Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), VCRMs, and technical documentation while mentoring junior verification engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in software DT&E.
• Strong experience in embedded software verification, requirements management, traceability, and DT&E.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C and Python.
• Experience with version control tools such as GIT or SVN.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools like Jama.
• Knowledge of DO-178C software certification, preferably Level A.
• Use of automated verification tools and hardware debugging equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG debuggers).
• ISTQB certification is an advantage.
