Senior Engineer, Guidance & Control

About the role

EDGE Group is seeking a Senior Engineer – Guidance & Control to develop, implement, test, and optimise advanced guidance and control systems for aerospace and defence applications. The role involves algorithm design, modelling, simulation, flight‑test support and technical leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and validate Guidance & Control algorithms for guided weapons and aerospace systems.
• Lead modelling, simulation, tracking, estimation and optimisation activities to assess system performance.
• Support SIL, PIL and HIL testing, system integration and flight‑test activities, including pre‑flight preparation and post‑flight analysis.
• Provide technical guidance, supervision and mentoring to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Embedded Systems Engineering or related field.
• 6‑10 years of experience in Guidance & Control, guided weapon or missile systems.
• Proven experience developing and implementing Guidance & Control algorithms and system‑level solutions.
• Strong knowledge of modelling & simulation, systems engineering and verification & validation.
• Master's or PhD in Aerospace or Control Systems Engineering is preferred.
• Experience with flight testing, mission planning and HIL/SIL/PIL environments is a plus.
