Engineer II – Design and Modeling (Advanced)

About the role

EDGE is seeking an experienced Engineer II to perform finite element analysis (FEA) and structural simulations for mechanical and vehicle systems. The role supports design, development, validation and optimisation of high‑performance defence and automotive solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to define analysis requirements, load cases and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct static, dynamic, modal, vibration, thermal, fatigue, buckling and nonlinear/contact analyses using best‑practice FEA modelling.
• Perform engineering calculations, load‑path assessments, structural sizing and factor‑of‑safety checks.
• Correlate simulation results with physical testing, support prototype validation and prepare technical reports for design reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Mechatronics Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience with strong practical FEA expertise.
• Experience in automotive, defence, heavy‑vehicle or special‑purpose vehicle sectors is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with ANSYS or equivalent CAE software.
• Experience with Creo Simulation, Creo, Windchill, Geomagic Design X, Control X and Artec Studio.
• Solid knowledge of structural analysis methods, fatigue, buckling, nonlinear and contact modelling.
