Senior Engineer - Plumbing

About the role

Careers International is recruiting, on behalf of a well-known Civil & MEP contracting company in the UAE, a Senior Plumbing Engineer for its ongoing building and infrastructure projects. The role leads plumbing, water supply, drainage, storm water and pump-room works on site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of plumbing, water supply, drainage, storm water and pump-room works
• Review plumbing shop drawings, calculations and material submittals
• Plan manpower, materials and the sequence of plumbing works to meet project timelines
• Coordinate with consultants, authorities and other MEP trades for approvals and inspections
• Supervise pressure testing, flushing, commissioning and final handover
• Ensure works comply with specifications, local codes (DM/DEWA) and HSE standards
• Guide site engineers, foremen and chargehands on site

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of plumbing and public-health engineering experience in building projects; GCC experience preferred
• Experience with high-rise residential and commercial projects
• UAE driving licence and Society of Engineers registration preferred

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes (IPC/UPC), drainage systems and pump selection
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
