Senior Engineer, QA Automation

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead QA automation across its Group IT function. The role involves designing, building and evolving enterprise‑grade test automation frameworks and integrating AI‑driven capabilities to accelerate delivery and improve quality.

Key responsibilities

• Define, design and implement enterprise‑scale test automation frameworks, incorporating AI‑enabled test generation, failure analysis and optimisation.
• Develop and embed best practices in Test Automation, DevOps and CI/CD, integrating automated testing, RPA workflows and AI validation into pipelines.
• Design and implement DevOps CI/CD solutions with automated testing and RPA components to enable end‑to‑end, touchless delivery.
• Evaluate, pilot and govern new automation tools, including UiPath RPA, AI components and cloud‑based mobile device farms.
• Provide proof‑of‑concepts and support to test automation teams across Group IT, ensuring rapid time‑to‑market and reduced manual effort.

Required profile

• 14+ years of experience in test automation, functional testing and DevOps, with strong expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, Java and VB.
• Hands‑on experience building CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, deploying to Kubernetes using Helm charts, and containerisation with Docker.
• Proven ability to design automation frameworks for web, mobile, API and desktop applications.
• Experience with service virtualization (IBM RIT) and cloud‑based testing platforms such as BrowserStack.
• Solid understanding of corporate banking operations, payments systems and related regulatory compliance (PCI/DDS).
