Senior Engineer - Software Development

About the role

As a Senior Engineer – Software Development you will own the Java development and delivery of a critical production system at a client site, while maintaining proficiency across the full technology stack. You will extend business logic, ensure data integrity, and resolve performance issues in a live environment, with occasional contributions to the React frontend.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain services across the stack, primarily the Java (Spring Boot) backend.
• Ensure data integrity and correct transaction boundaries under high‑throughput concurrent workloads.
• Diagnose and resolve concurrency issues, race conditions, and deadlocks in production.
• Profile and tune application performance under real client load.
• Apply disciplined change‑management for every release.
• Work on relational database schema changes, query performance, and migrations safely.

Required profile

• 5+ years of strong Java development experience in enterprise applications.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, relational databases and performance tuning in a live production environment.
• Proven ability to understand, maintain, and enhance large, business‑critical codebases.
