Senior Engineer – Traffic Signage and Addressing

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Traffic Signage and Addressing will lead the planning, design, and implementation of regulatory, warning, and guide signs across the emirate. You will ensure compliance with legislation, technical standards, and Dubai advertising regulations while supporting safe multimodal movement.

Key responsibilities

• Determine and approve locations for traffic signs in coordination with relevant entities.
• Review and approve street names and house numbers throughout design and implementation phases.
• Develop and maintain specifications and standards for signs, guide signs, and road markings.
• Prepare and implement the comprehensive addressing system plan at the emirate level.
• Provide technical support for external advertising within the right‑of‑way.
• Establish project plans, schedules, and performance indicators for signage and addressing workstreams.
• Review traffic impact studies, engineering plans, and as‑built drawings for compliance.
• Inspect regulatory and guide signs, direct remedial works, and monitor permits through electronic systems.
• Coordinate with regulatory units during normal and emergency situations.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months of experience in traffic signage, addressing, or related transportation engineering fields.
• Strong knowledge of local legislation and technical standards for traffic control devices.
• Ability to develop specifications, approve designs, and supervise field inspections.
