Senior Finance Officer – Jumeirah Zabeel Saray

About the role

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, an exclusive beachside resort on Palm Jumeirah, is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to join its Finance team. The role focuses on managing accounts receivable, invoice processing, and debtor ledger maintenance within a 5‑star hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and process invoices from local and GCC travel & tour operators, ensuring contract compliance and proper documentation.
• Prepare and dispatch fortnightly statements with supporting documents, following up on missing paperwork promptly.
• Maintain debtor accounts by updating payment records in Solomon, posting journal entries for revenue adjustments, and archiving records accurately.
• Handle collections and queries professionally, escalating overdue accounts to the Finance or Credit Manager as needed.
• Participate in bi‑monthly meetings with Finance and Credit Managers to review aged balances and ensure a healthy debtor ledger.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (CPA, CMA) are a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a finance role within a 5‑star hotel, with exposure to accounts receivable and billing processes.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Opera or similar ERP platforms.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience using financial systems and ERP platforms.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and journal entry posting.
