Senior HSE Officer – Transportation Safety

About the role

The Senior HSE Officer (Transportation Safety) will lead the implementation of ADNOC's Transportation Safety framework across on‑shore operations and contractor sites. You will ensure compliance with the Transportation Safety Corporate Manual, conduct inspections, and provide data‑driven insights to improve road safety performance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement ADNOC on‑shore Transportation Safety standards and monitor contractor compliance.
• Conduct regular field audits, inspections, and spot checks of vehicles, drivers, and journey‑management systems.
• Analyse driver behaviour and vehicle performance data (IVMS, AFDD, DMS, telematics, GPS) to identify unsafe trends and drive corrective actions.
• Lead investigations of road‑traffic incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate with site teams and transportation units to close safety gaps and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Drive on‑ground Transportation Safety campaigns and engage drivers and operational teams.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of drivers, vehicles, road infrastructure and associated safety technologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE, preferably within the oil & gas or heavy‑industry sector.
• Demonstrated knowledge of transportation safety regulations, road‑safety strategies and ADNOC corporate practices.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret telematics data and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills for liaising with contractors, site teams and government authorities.
