Senior Immigration Consultant

About the role

The Senior Immigration Consultant independently manages a portfolio of visa and consular matters, ensuring compliance, accuracy and timely delivery. Acting as a trusted point of contact, the consultant provides practical guidance to clients and internal stakeholders while supporting senior leadership in achieving team objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned visa and consular cases from initiation through completion, meeting client‑specific requirements and service level agreements.
• Provide clear, accurate guidance on visa requirements, application processes, documentation, timelines and associated risks.
• Handle complex, high‑profile or sensitive matters, exercising sound judgment and escalating issues with recommended solutions.
• Monitor workflow priorities to ensure internal turnaround times and client expectations are exceeded.
• Maintain complete case records in CRM, Connect and other firm systems, documenting updates, milestones and communications.
• Prepare, review and support submission of applications, correspondence and client deliverables with high quality and professionalism.
• Identify service delivery issues or process gaps, take ownership of initial resolution steps and escalate when necessary.
• Conduct independent research on complex or non‑standard matters and present clear recommendations.
• Support supervisors and managers with workflow oversight, quality control, case allocation and operational improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and train junior consultants, visa coordinators and other team members.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of immigration law and visa processes.
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail and ability to manage high‑profile cases.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a client‑service mindset.
• Effective communicator able to convey complex information clearly.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and contributing to team collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM and case‑management systems (e.g., Connect).
