Senior Income Auditor

About the role

Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, a 5-star Abu Dhabi beach resort, is hiring a Senior Income Auditor. The role ensures accurate, complete and timely posting of all hotel revenue, balances and audits front office postings, settlements and transactions, and oversees daily revenue reporting and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Post all hotel revenue accurately and on time, balance and audit front office postings, settlements and transactions, and verify that all departments have posted their revenues correctly.
• Review the Night Auditor's logbook, daily revenue and food and beverage reports, supporting vouchers and trial balance; reconcile the F&B POS with the PMS and adjust discrepancies.
• Review rate variance, complimentary and house-use rooms, late checkouts, rebates, paid-outs, staff charges, F&B voids and altered checks, and the daily cash summary and credit card transactions and commissions.
• Handle credit card chargebacks and inquiries, prepare the daily operational package and follow up on signatory comments.
• Conduct weekly float counts of house fund holders, assist the General Cashier with surprise counts, and prepare month-end income journal entries and close bank and balance sheet accounts.
• Audit internal controls, report discrepancies and irregularities to the Audit Supervisor/Accountant and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with DCT Abu Dhabi regulations and reporting guidelines, coordinate with Revenue, Front Office, F&B and Finance for DCT reporting, and support DCT inspections and audits.
