Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer (Systems)

About the role

Penspen is looking for a PMC Senior Instrumentation Engineer (Systems) to work on-site at a gas processing plant in Abu Dhabi. The role covers Instrumentation Control and Safety Systems (ICSS), including DCS, ESD/SIS, F&G and PLC/SCADA systems, and involves field instruments, actuated valves and vendor packages.

Key responsibilities

• Review documents and support FAT, I-FAT and SAT, as well as commissioning activities and ICSS integration.
• Clarify queries on instrumentation deliverables prepared by the Home Office and the Field Engineering team.
• Work on field instruments, actuated valves and vendor packages.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Instrumentation from a recognised university.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, of which at least 10 in the oil and gas industry.
• Good experience in gas processing projects, including design exposure, installation of field instruments and actuated valves, and prior site or field engineering work.
• Experience with ADNOC group companies or similar Middle East oil and gas organisations is desirable.

Required skills

• DCS, ESD, SIS, F&G and PLC/SCADA systems.
• Loop checking, cause and effect verification, and control loop checks for DCS, ESD and fire and gas systems.

The position is full-time, fixed-term, based in Abu Dhabi.
