Senior Internal Auditor – Healthcare (UAE National)

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in Dubai seeks a Senior Internal Auditor to strengthen its audit and risk function. The role focuses on evaluating business processes, operational risks, internal controls, governance and overall performance within a complex healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audit and advisory assignments across various business and operational functions.
• Review business processes to identify risks, control weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Develop audit approaches, testing procedures and work programs based on identified risks.
• Examine financial, operational and management information, using data analysis to support audit conclusions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and provide practical recommendations.
• Prepare clear audit reports covering findings, risks, root causes and recommended actions.
• Discuss observations with stakeholders and support remediation planning.
• Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely closure.
• Participate in enterprise and operational risk assessments.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams when reviewing systems, processes and controls.
• Lead audit assignments and coordinate audit team activities.
• Contribute to improving audit methodologies, tools and analytics.

Required profile

• UAE National with family book.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CIA, CPA or Chartered Accountant.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit, risk management or related field, with 2–3 years in the healthcare sector.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of internal controls, business processes and audit methodologies.
• Experience conducting operational, functional and system‑based reviews.
• Analytical ability to interpret large volumes of information and identify meaningful risks.
• Exposure to audit analytics and data analysis.
