Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor will lead risk‑based audits across finance, HR, procurement, IT and other functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will work closely with line managers to enhance operational efficiency and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in risk assessment and develop the annual strategic audit plan.
• Plan, execute and document operational, financial and compliance audits in line with IIA standards.
• Evaluate internal controls, prepare Risk & Control Matrices and gather sufficient audit evidence.
• Draft clear audit reports with findings, risk ratings and actionable recommendations.
• Discuss results with management, obtain response plans and track implementation of corrective actions.
• Provide advisory support on process improvements, internal controls and risk management.
• Assist IA leadership with updates for the Audit Committee and Board.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit, risk assessment and governance.
• Strong understanding of IIA standards, audit methodology and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit engagements.
