Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

A pioneering financial technology company licensed by the Central Bank of the UAE is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to support its internal audit function. The auditor conducts independent audits across the company's operational areas, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, identifies operational gaps and drives process improvements, in line with the Standards for the Regulations Regarding Licensing and Monitoring of Exchange Business.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits across operational areas such as remittance processing, payment services, compliance and settlement operations
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes
• Review compliance with CBUAE regulations, FATF guidelines, AML/KYC requirements and sanctions screening processes
• Identify operational gaps and control weaknesses, recommend and implement corrective actions
• Create and maintain SOPs for audit processes and day-to-day operations
• Prepare audit reports, findings and recommendations for senior management
• Support regulatory examinations and audits, and stay up to date with regulatory changes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of audit experience, preferably in fintech, exchange houses, remittance or financial services
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CAMS or CISA are an added advantage
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks for exchange businesses and payment service providers
