Senior Inventory and Financial Data Specialist

About the role

The Senior Inventory and Financial Data Specialist will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of inventory and financial data across Seddiqi Holding’s finance systems. This position supports month‑end and year‑end closing, provides audit documentation, and works closely with Finance, IT, Operations, and external auditors to strengthen controls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accounting inventory control activities, reviewing movements, adjustments, write‑offs, transfers, valuation, COGS and purchases.
• Maintain and validate inventory and financial master data for accounting, reconciliations, reporting and system integration.
• Standardize data structures, interface mappings and data flows across ERP, POS, warehouse and legacy systems.
• Act as custodian of inventory and finance system master data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Execute periodic reconciliations between sub‑ledgers, ERP, POS and warehouse systems, analysing differences and driving resolution.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing by validating balances, preparing reconciliation schedules and closing open items.
• Prepare reports, schedules and extracts for internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in inventory accounting, financial data management or related finance functions.
• Strong understanding of inventory valuation, COGS, and revenue‑related inventory movements.
• Proven ability to identify, investigate and resolve data discrepancies across multiple systems.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
