Senior IT Analyst

About the role

AL TARIQ is hiring a Senior IT Analyst in Abu Dhabi. The role covers the day-to-day operation, maintenance and support of applications and workstations, including troubleshooting, program analysis and supervision of junior analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Keep applications and workstation computers running smoothly and compliant with applicable standards
• Coordinate installation, configuration and maintenance of applications and workstations
• Diagnose program errors and recommend or implement fixes, such as modifying programs or changing the order of program steps
• Analyse, review and rewrite programs to improve efficiency or adapt them to new requirements
• Prepare workflow charts showing the steps, inputs, outputs and logic of programs
• Manage application administration, maintenance and upgrades, and advise senior management on new applications and services
• Conduct and validate the physical inventory of IT equipment and software, and provide training to staff when needed
• Supervise, monitor and train IT Analysts and applications specialists, and support other IT team members
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of company information and enforce IT directives
• Ensure IT property is kept in good condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded, and comply with safety, housekeeping and environmental directives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field; master's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• At least five to six years of experience in an IT applications role
• At least one year of supervisory experience
• Valid UAE driver's licence, or ability to obtain one
• Effective written and spoken English

Required skills

• Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, CCDA) are an advantage
