Senior IT Pillar Specialist – S3D (Hexagon)

About the role

The Senior IT Pillar Specialist will administer Hexagon S3D projects, handling setup, daily administration, and delivery of project deliverables for McDermott International in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Customize S3D catalogs for piping, equipment, electrical, instrumentation and structures.
• Create and customize isometric drawings and GA view styles.
• Develop reports using COM and optionally VB.Net/C#.
• Configure GWC, perform database restoration, and set up permission groups and system hierarchy.
• Establish interference rules, naming conventions, filters and review files (SPR, Navisworks).
• Support SQL and Oracle databases and resolve designer issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5‑15 years of experience in S3D administration.
• Strong understanding of engineering practices and project execution concepts.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Aveva 3D or other Smartplant tools.
