Senior Legal Counsel – Marketing, Sales & Commodity Trading

About the role

Emirates Global Aluminium is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide dedicated legal support to its Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain businesses. The role covers global commercial legal affairs, including international sales and purchasing offices and overseas production assets.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as aluminium sales contracts, offtake agreements, commodity purchase contracts and distribution agreements.
• Provide legal support to international offices in Singapore, Shanghai, Mexico and the USA, ensuring compliance with local laws and EGA’s commercial policies.
• Manage post‑contractual support, dispute prevention and resolution, and coordinate with external counsel across jurisdictions.
• Support regulatory compliance, sanctions, trade compliance and anti‑corruption requirements in commercial documentation.
• Oversee external law firms, budget management and implementation of legal technology solutions.

Required profile

• Law degree from an internationally reputable university and qualification to practice in the UK or USA.
• Extensive experience in commercial law, commodity trading and international commercial operations.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts and manage legal risk.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with senior executives and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience coordinating with external counsel and managing legal budgets.
