Senior M365 Engineer

About the role

Unify, which offers integrated business services across HR, payroll, finance, IT, procurement, legal and government services, is hiring a Senior M365 Engineer. The role covers Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, security and compliance, and operations, with hands-on administration of an enterprise tenant.

Key responsibilities

• Exchange Online: manage hybrid Exchange, mail flow, connectors and migrations; configure SPF, DKIM, DMARC, Defender for Office 365 and anti-phishing policies; resolve bounces, NDRs, delayed or missing mail and blocked messages using message trace, headers and reports; monitor sender reputation and handle delisting from blocklists
• DNS records for mail (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, Autodiscover) and review DMARC reports
• Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive: administer Teams policies, governance, Teams Phone and meeting rooms; design SharePoint and OneDrive structure, permissions, sharing and lifecycle policies
• Security, identity and compliance: align policies to Microsoft and CIS baselines; configure Defender for Office 365, Conditional Access, external sharing, guest access and audit/app protection policies; administer Entra ID (hybrid identity, Conditional Access, MFA, PIM); implement Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels, retention, eDiscovery); monitor Secure Score and security alerts
• Operations: automate administration and reporting with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph; manage licences, service health, change management and vendor support cases; keep documentation, runbooks and user guidance up to date

Required profile

• 7+ years in Microsoft infrastructure, including 5+ years administering Microsoft 365 at enterprise scale (1,000+ users)
• Proven experience leading Exchange and tenant-to-tenant migrations
• Experience leading projects, mentoring engineers and working with senior stakeholders
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex email delivery issues and designing M365 security policies in an enterprise tenant

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive
• Strong Entra ID, Conditional Access and hybrid identity experience
• Hands-on experience with Purview compliance and Defender for Office 365
• Strong PowerShell skills, including Microsoft Graph
• Preferred: MS-102, MS-700, SC-300, SC-401 or SC-200 certification
