Senior Manager Completions Commissioning

About the role

Worley, a global energy, chemicals and resources company, is hiring a Senior Manager Completions Commissioning in Abu Dhabi. The role leads the pre-commissioning and commissioning of projects from the FEED stage through EPC completion, coordinating with the PMC and contractor teams and ensuring safe commissioning and delivery within budget and timescale.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction to PMC and contractor commissioning teams, ensuring feasibility and readiness from FEED through EPC completion.
• Carry out pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and coordinate commissioning procedures with the company and contractor/vendor during critical stages.
• Plan, direct and supervise all commissioning activities, including mechanical completion, performance tests and outstanding CARs and NCRs.
• Manage the commissioning team and external contractors, set work priorities, approve shift crew changes and control costs including labour and equipment.
• Review and approve post-commissioning scenarios, operation scenarios, overhaul philosophy and maintenance procedures; advise Maintenance, Engineering and other departments on complex technical matters.
• Ensure handover of operating and maintenance manuals, spare parts and materials, and initiate amendments to permits, standing instructions and operating procedures.
• Prepare and monitor commissioning budgets and performance, and contribute to technical discussions with Production, Engineering, I&Q and HSE.
• Develop and maintain the start-up schedule, propose plant modifications and conduct risk assessments, audits and safety tours to ensure HSE compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or another relevant qualification from an accredited university.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry (15 years for UAE nationals); 5 years preferred in the GCC region.
• At least 15 years of experience in a similar position on mega oil and gas or petrochemical projects.
• Required offshore project experience and FEED/EPC project experience.
