Senior Manager – Contracts & Commercial (Data Centre Projects)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead contract and commercial activities for large‑scale data centre construction projects in Dubai. You will work closely with project delivery teams, contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders to ensure projects meet commercial, contractual and financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contract activities across complex engineering and construction projects.
• Support procurement strategies, tender processes, contract awards and commercial approvals.
• Draft, review, negotiate and administer construction, supplier and subcontract agreements.
• Evaluate and manage variations, claims, change orders and commercial risks.
• Review contractor applications, supplier invoices and oversee final account settlements.
• Assist with project budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and financial reporting.
• Drive dispute avoidance and support resolution of contractual issues.
• Collaborate with project, procurement, legal and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in contracts, commercial management, quantity surveying or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering data centres or other large‑scale complex engineering projects.
• Background with a leading French or Italian contractor is essential.
• Client‑side experience across pre‑contract and post‑contract commercial activities.
• Track record of managing variations, claims, change management and commercial risk.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
• Relevant degree qualification; professional membership or chartered status preferred.
