Senior Manager Newsroom – Emerging Markets Central

About the role

The Senior Manager Newsroom leads the PR and social media strategy for Emerging Markets Central, shaping brand storytelling and ensuring consistent, high‑impact communication across markets. This role integrates newsroom activities, content production, and crisis management to protect and amplify the adidas brand.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute an integrated PR & social media strategy aligned with global direction.
• Lead storytelling initiatives, providing strategic guidance to markets and cross‑functional teams.
• Oversee end‑to‑end content production, from brief to agency selection, ensuring quality and budget efficiency.
• Manage brand reputation, including issues and crisis mitigation, and own the “Protect the Brand” workstream.
• Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with the Global Newsroom Network and regional stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver PR tools such as press kits, releases, interview guides, and photography assets.
• Coordinate major media engagements, including press conferences and media days.
• Collaborate with product and communications teams to enhance media relevance and newsworthiness.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in PR, communications or social media within a multinational environment.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage crisis communication and protect brand reputation.
• Excellent strategic thinking with a track record of delivering integrated campaigns.
