Senior Manager, Operational Risk

About the role

ADSS, a leading retail and institutional brokerage in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Operational Risk. The role is pivotal in shaping the firm’s risk framework as it transforms into a data‑driven, client‑centric enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and periodically review the operational risk management framework, including policies, procedures and controls.
• Identify, assess and monitor operational risks across business processes, IT systems and new initiatives.
• Gather, analyse and interpret risk data, conduct root‑cause analysis and propose mitigation solutions.
• Maintain and update the Operational Risk Register and support predictive analytics and reporting.
• Guide business units in completing risk & control assessments, scenario analyses and thematic reviews.
• Monitor effectiveness of controls, KRIs and KCIs, ensuring timely enhancements.
• Investigate and report operational risk incidents to leadership with remediation recommendations.
• Promote awareness of risk trends, methodologies and best practices across the organisation.
• Deliver training on operational risk policy, controls, incident response and regulatory expectations.
• Prepare and present risk dashboards and analysis to senior management and risk committees.

Required profile

• Minimum 72 months (6 years) of experience in operational risk management.
• Proven ability to lead risk identification, assessment and mitigation activities.
• Experience working in financial services or brokerage environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for reporting to senior stakeholders.
